Job summary

CompucomStaffing, a division of CompuCom Systems, Inc., is seeking a qualified IMAC Technician to join our client’s onsite team in Winnipeg, MB. You will perform on-site installation, moves, adds and changes of IT equipment, ensuring devices are configured and ready for users.

Requirements include 1–3+ years in desktop support or IMAC, strong organization and customer service, and the ability to work independently in a field services environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 3+ years of experience in desktop support, field services, IMAC, deployment, or IT hardware support.
• Hands-on experience installing and moving IT equipment and workstations.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a field services team.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, relocation, replacement, and removal of desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals, and related IT equipment.
• Set up workstations, including basic cabling, connectivity, labeling, and equipment placement.
• Follow assigned work orders and complete IMAC activities within required timelines and service levels.
• Verify equipment and asset information and ensure assets are properly assigned and tracked.
• Perform basic hardware and connectivity checks and elevate technical issues when required.
• Update tickets, work orders, and asset records accurately upon completion of each task.
• Coordinate with the IMAC Coordinator regarding schedules, priorities, equipment requirements, and outstanding issues.
• Follow customer procedures for equipment handling, security, safety, and onsite access.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure removed equipment is properly handled or staged for return.
• Provide professional and courteous support to end users and customer representatives.
• Communicate any delays, missing equipment, access issues, or other concerns that may impact completion.
• Support inventory reconciliation and other asset-related activities as required.
