Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP seeks a Data Center Technical Specialist to design, test and administer systems supporting SCaaS. The role is performed onsite at the Lévis, QC data center with weekend/on-call rotation.

You will join a regional on-site team building a cloud-based, multi-tenant HPC service and handle system startups, maintenance, and diagnostics. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT equipment support, enterprise server infra, HPC clusters, and Linux expertise, plus

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting IT equipment (Servers, Switches, etc.)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise-grade server infrastructures
• Hands-on experience with HPC systems at scale, including networking and storage
• Linux-based environments proficiency including shells and admin skills
• Experience with large-scale clustered systems (HPC)
• Certifications: CompTIA A+/Server+/Network+, Basic Structure Cabling (BSC)
• Understanding of high-speed networks and cloud security concerns
• BS in Computer Science, IT Management, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Part of a regional on-site team to build and support a multi-tenant cloud-based Supercomputing-as-a-Service business
• Prepare, stage, configure and perform system startups/shutdowns per guides
• On-site technician maintaining and supporting all aspects of the supercomputer system
• Diagnose and troubleshoot, triage and escalate system issues as they arise
• Maintain hardware, warranty service, replacements and expansions
• Perform hardware swaps and coordinate factory warranty services
• Follow security protocols defined by the security architect
• Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers to keep systems operational
