Job summary

Kelson Mechanical Inc. is seeking a Construction Health and Safety Advisor to join our Niagara Falls team. You will lead on-site safety inspections, develop site-specific safety plans, and drive training initiatives to support a strong safety culture.

We value candidates with a recognized health and safety program background and on-site ICI experience. You’ll collaborate with site crews, management, and clients to ensure compliance with Ontario safety regulations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Health and Safety Program.
• 5+ years on-site safety experience, ICI construction preferred.
• Knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety Acts and Regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly on-site safety inspections to ensure crew and sub-contractors compliance.
• Assist with project safety setup, hazard identification and controls.
• Provide leadership to promote health and safety awareness and training.
• Assist investigations of incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support new employee orientations and toolbox talks.
• Assist in creating site-specific work plans (hoisting, rigging, etc.).
• Engage JHSC members to ensure safety culture.
• Analyze safety performance and suggest continuous improvement.
• Mentor on-site safety practices and cooperate with clients and safety professionals.
• Prepare regular safety reporting and planning.
