ClassUp - Online Teaching

Join ClassUp, the premier online learning platform connecting K-12 students with tutors from top US Universities and Colleges for personalized lessons. As a tutor, you will have a flexible schedule that you set. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes, with ClassUp-provided learning plans. Most students are K-5, and we are hiring elementary teachers.

This is an ideal opportunity for experienced educators to connect with students in an after-school setting. You will hold 50-minute one-on-one lessons at a set weekly time. Build a welcoming, fun learning environment and help students grow. Reliability, preparedness, punctuality, and a kind, passionate demeanor are essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction.
2. Update your availability promptly in the ClassUp App.
3. Prepare appropriate lesson materials.
4. Submit feedback after each lesson.
5. Communicate professionally with parents and students.
6. Attend all classes on time in a professional setting.
7. Coordinate with ClassUp staff.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree.
2. At least 3 years of teaching experience for grades K-12.
3. Experience with K-12 ELA or Math standards.
4. Teaching license is preferred but not required.
5. Reliable internet and access to a Windows or Mac PC with minimum CPU of 6000.
6. Commitment to a year of teaching.
7. Availability 3-10 PM EST weekdays or weekends.
8. 20 hours of weekly availability.
9. Access to a private, quiet space.
10. Passion for helping students learn.
11. Located in the US or Canada.
