Are you passionate about delivering excellent service and engaging with students? The OneCard team is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused Ambassadors to support NAIT students during peak periods, including New Student Orientation, Welcome Week, and apprentice intakes. This position also provides support for locker clearances and lock rotations between semesters.

As a OneCard Ambassador, you’ll play a key role in welcoming new and returning students by distributing OneCards, supporting locker services, answering questions about the OneCard and U-Pass programs, and representing NAIT in a positive, professional manner.

If you enjoy interacting with people, have a keen eye for detail, and are comfortable using technology in a fast-paced environment, this casual role could be a great fit for you!

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with the creation activation and distribution of OneCards
  • Support locker operations across campus, including locker clearances and lock rotation between terms
  • Manage lineups with professionalism and a welcoming attitude
  • Operate OneCard software and printers; restock supplies as needed
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware / software issues and escalate when required
  • Provide clear information and directions to students, staff, and visitors

Skills & Abilities :

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with a diverse population in a team setting
  • Able to learn and follow department procedures and guidelines

Qualifications :

  • Candidates must be available to work during peak service dates :
  • Fall Term : August 26 – Sept 4, 2025
  • Winter Term : January 5 – 9, 2026
  • Daytime availability between 7 : 30 a.m. and 5 : 00 p.m. is required
  • Previous customer service experience, especially in student-facing roles, is an asset
  • Previous experience at NAIT is an asset
  • Completion of grade 12 or have an equivalent combination of experience and education

This is a casual position with no guarantee of hours . While primary support is required during the dates listed above, there may be occasional opportunities for additional shifts throughout the year—particularly during apprentice intakes and for locker services. Scheduling is based entirely on operational needs, and hours will vary.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

Remuneration $16.34 - $21.69 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of stat holidays and vacation accrual. (Classification – Customer Service Rep I).

This casual opportunity is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
