AbbVie Canada is seeking an Oncology Therapeutic Specialist to join our commercial sales team, preferably based in Montreal, covering Montreal and Quebec West. This role focuses on Oncologists treating Solid Tumors.

The Oncology Therapeutic Specialist will develop business plans to execute brand strategies, deliver sales performance, and build strong customer relationships. They will support customer needs to maximize sales while placing the patient at the center and operating within AbbVie’s policies and laws.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Achieving sales performance, KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
  2. Creating pre-call plans and evaluating post-call to improve sales; handling objections effectively.
  3. Supporting stakeholder needs to build trusted relationships.
  4. Executing regional account plans to maximize sales opportunities.
  5. Understanding customer needs, market landscape, competitor activities, and sharing insights with team members.
  6. Differentiating AbbVie's value proposition and developing disease state experts and advocates.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Business, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years in a Specialty Sales role with a clinical background in pharmaceuticals, oncology experience required, solid tumors preferred.
  • Deep scientific and therapeutic knowledge in oncology and Canadian Oncology sector.
  • Experience in physician/account-based selling, medical education, managed healthcare, or marketing preferred.
  • Strong sales record and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer behavior.
  • Recognized oncology product and scientific expertise.
  • Business acumen, strategic thinking, and proficiency with business tools.
  • Ability to operate in a matrix environment and innovate.
  • Credibility and leadership skills, with a history of increased responsibility.
  • Ability to leverage findings for sales strategies.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Fluent in French and English (oral and written).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable with technology and various tools.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel overnight (20-30%).
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
