AbbVie Canada is seeking to hire an Oncology Therapeutic Specialist to join our commercial sales team, ideally based in Montreal, covering Montreal and Quebec West. This role will focus on Oncologists treating Solid Tumors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed business goals.
  • Develop pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations for continuous improvement. Handle objections logically to close sales.
  • Support customer needs proactively to build trusted relationships and partnerships.
  • Implement regional account plans to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Understand customer needs, territory landscape, patient journey, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, and products. Share market intelligence with team members for alignment and strategy optimization.
  • Differenciate AbbVie's value proposition and develop disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Business, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years in a Specialty Sales role with a strong clinical background in pharmaceuticals, with oncology experience required and solid tumors experience preferred.
  • Deep scientific and therapeutic knowledge in oncology and the Canadian sector.
  • Experience in physician/account-based selling, medical education, or marketing preferred.
  • Strong sales record and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt sales approach based on customer behavior.
  • Recognized expertise in oncology products and knowledge of competitors.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and proficiency with business tools.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment and to innovate business strategies.
  • Respected among peers and capable of leadership and support roles.
Essential Skills & Abilities
  • Fluent in French and English (oral and written).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable with technology and various tools/systems.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel overnight (~20-30%).
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
