Profile Description: The Oncology Pharmacist integrates knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide quality pharmacy services. They are responsible for patient-focused pharmaceutical care, optimizing medication therapy, and ensuring safe, comprehensive, and effective drug distribution services. They monitor adherence to treatment guidelines, compliance with policies, and manage drug resources responsibly.
Job Description: Under the supervision of the Regional Manager of Oncology Pharmacy Services, the Oncology Pharmacist provides patient-centered pharmaceutical care within the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. Responsibilities include optimizing medication therapy, ensuring safe drug distribution, and monitoring adherence to guidelines and policies, as well as managing drug resources efficiently.
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy; completion of a hospital pharmacy residency at a recognized Canadian tertiary care hospital or equivalent experience is an asset. Oncology experience and membership with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists are preferred.
