Qualifications

• College certificate or diploma (1–2 years) in a relevant field
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
• On-site work with no remote option
• Plan and control budget and expenditures
• Develop and implement health and safety plans
• Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards
• Provide information/training to employers, employees and the public
• Establish policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Oversee preparation of reports
• Respond to employee questions and complaints
• Evaluate environments, programs and procedures to prevent disease or injury

• Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
• Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
• Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

Education
