Job summary

Advance Sheet Metal Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support inspection, design and testing of mechanical installations at multiple Delta locations.

The role requires collaboration with engineering and production teams to prepare drawings, specifications and tooling concepts. This is a permanent, full-time on-site position with 30 to 40 hours per week and starts ASAP.

Qualifications

• Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects.
• Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications.
• Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures.
• Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials.
• Computer-aided design (CAD).
• Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects.
• Test machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support inspection and monitoring of ongoing mechanical installations and construction projects.
• Assist design teams with drawings and specifications for new tooling concepts.
• Help test machines and validate material or component performance.
