Job summary

A tour company in Yellowknife is seeking a Tour Guide Supervisor to coordinate activities, establish work schedules, and assist clients. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of supervisory experience and a high school diploma, with English proficiency being essential. Knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese is an asset. This full-time permanent position pays between $21.00 to $24.00 hourly. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in English, with Mandarin and Cantonese as assets.
  • High school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures.
  • Perform same duties as workers supervised.
  • Prepare and submit reports.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Coordinate, assign and review work.
  • Hire and train staff in job duties and safety procedures.
  • Maintain operation of computer systems and equipment.
  • Requisition materials and supplies.
