Job summary

Trans Tank Systems in Kinburn, Ontario is seeking a Controller to own the accounting and financial management function, guiding pricing, profitability, and business planning. You will oversee the day-to-day accounting cycle and produce reliable financial reporting.

The role requires a CPA or equivalent, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing or similar settings, strong Excel and ERP skills, and on-site work with occasional travel to Belleville.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
• Experience with the general ledger, monthly financial reporting, year-end preparation, payroll, sales tax compliance, and transactional accounting.
• Experience with job costing, inventory, work in progress, or project-based accounting is a strong asset.
• Strong Excel and accounting-system skills; interest in improving financial tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting.
• Lead the monthly close and prepare timely monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Prepare year-end working papers and coordinate with external accountants.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and related activities.
• Complete or oversee HST filings and other required financial and government reporting.
• Manage payroll administration and related reconciliations and remittances.
• Monitor cash flow and support banking and working-capital management.
• Analyze financial results, explain variances, trends, and margins by product/project.
