Job summary

Paladin Security in St. John's, Canada is seeking a Client Service Ambassador for a temporary full-time role in Emergency Departments across the area.

You will be the patient-facing liaison in waiting rooms, using clear communication and empathy to support calm, safety, and comfort. You will collaborate with triage, nursing, social work, mental health, security and volunteers, conduct hourly census, and escalate when needed.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• CSA-approved First Aid & CPR – Level C.
• Proof of full vaccination series including Tdap and 10-year booster.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Ability to remain composed and empathetic in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer-focused liaison in Emergency Department waiting areas.
• Engage directly with patients and visitors to support safety and calm.
• Use empathetic communication to minimize stress and improve patient experience.
• Collaborate with triage, nursing, social work, mental health, security and volunteers.
• Develop personalized approaches with clinical teams for safety risks.
• Conduct hourly census counts and document client contacts with tablet software.
• De-escalate aggression verbally and involve security when needed.
