Job summary

Industrial Automation Repair in Mississauga is seeking an on-site technician with a secondary school diploma to read blueprints, test electrical and mechanical conditions, and repair motors, transformers, switchgear, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities include machining to recondition parts, replacing shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components, plus on-site servicing and testing to ensure proper performance.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation is required.
• 0.5–1 year of related experience preferred.
• On-site work at the physical location only.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment such as motors, transformers, switchgear, generators.
• Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts.
• Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components.
• Perform some machining to recondition or modify parts.
• Perform on-site servicing and repair.
• Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in switchgear.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance.
