Job summary

York is seeking a Site Foreman to support the Site Superintendent in overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence. This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating trades, managing field teams, and enforcing safety programs.

You will maintain daily logs, participate in safety meetings, and liaise with project management to keep projects on track while delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Experience on light industrial and commercial projects.
• Leadership for Safety Excellence required.
• Journeyman Carpenter preferred.
• Fall protection, AWP and forklift tickets are required/advantageous.
• First aid training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily communication with trades.
• Site coordination of workforce (sub-trades, suppliers, field workers).
• Conduct site safety orientation and weekly safety meetings.
• Enforce OHS and York Safety Program requirements.
• Maintain field documentation and daily logs; conduct safety inspections.
• Coordinate materials in and out; supervise smaller projects.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to team members.
