Job summary

PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. in British Columbia is seeking an Integrated Construction Technology Specialist to support the North Shore Waste Water Treatment Plant project in North Vancouver and work on-site in Richmond, BC.

You will build, review and validate virtual models, develop construction-site logistics models, and coordinate trade detailing and design deliverables using VDC/BIM tools with the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (AEC, civil, architectural).
• 2–4 years of construction-related experience, including 1–2 years in Virtual Design and Construction.
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and translate into a 3D/4D BIM.
• Proficient in 3D modeling software and VDC software.
• Understanding of construction sequences and technology adoption.

Responsibilities

• Builds, reviews, or validates virtual models from plans and elevations.
• Collaborates on development of construction-site logistics models.
• Supervises coordination and management of trade detailing and design deliverables.
• Reviews and recommends VDC tools/scopes during pursuit stage.
• Collaborates with estimating on model compliance and validation.
• Supports kickoff meetings and coordination of trade partner models.
• Promotes virtual construction tools to project staff.
