AKAL AUTO REPAIR INC. in Calgary seeks an experienced Automotive Service Technician specializing in steering, suspension and brakes.

The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on experience and a high school graduation certificate; work is on site at our Calgary shop. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial transport systems; communicate with supervisors and customers; complete reports and ensure compliance with manufacturer specs.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation is required.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in automotive service.
  • On-site work at the Calgary location.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
  • Discuss work with supervisor.
  • Review work orders.
  • Road test motor vehicles.
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service.
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
