Job summary

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is seeking a Regular Part-Time Carpentry/Building Construction instructor to deliver Foundation training and Apprentice training Levels 1–4. The position is primarily on campus at KPU Tech.

Applicants should hold an IP RSE and have at least five years of journeyperson carpentry experience, with strong communication skills and a record of teaching or supervisory work. Applicants may be considered for the KPU Qualified Faculty List.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification with IP RSE required.
• Minimum five years current industry carpentry experience as a Journeyperson.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students.
• Teaching and supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Foundation training and Apprentice training Levels 1–4.
• Teach primarily on campus at KPU Tech.
• Collaborate with the Faculty of Trades & Technology.
