Job summary

Fitzrovia is seeking an On-Call Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join Bloomsbury Academy classrooms across the Toronto area. You will cover staff absences, vacations, leaves of absence, and peak enrollment, delivering developmentally appropriate Montessori-inspired programming for children 18 months to 6 years.

This on-call role requires on-site presence, quick adaptation to site routines, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Montessori training or certification is a strong asset.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators is required.
• Experience in Montessori settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Bloomsbury staff to design age-appropriate Montessori-inspired curriculum.
• Implement programming for children 18 months to 6 years across sites.
• Use ELECT, How Does Learning Happen, and AQI to assess progress and plan activities.
• Document observations and communicate with families and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment and support holistic development.
