Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant for Cox's Cove, NL. You will provide counter services with a customer-focused approach, selling postal products and assisting customers with mail processing.

Ideal candidates reside in the community and are available for temporary, on-call work. Prior retail experience and basic accounting understanding are preferred for efficient operations and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or provincial equivalency.
• Experience interacting with the public in a retail/service environment, including sales and cash handling.
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically fit to lift mail containers up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

• Sell postal products and services to the public.
• Sort, distribute and process mail into classifications.
• Provide customers with information and forms.
• Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly.
