Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC in Vancouver is seeking a skilled OMC Network Engineer to support corporate infrastructure networks, AV, and Print services. You will provide Tier II support, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor Tier I engineers in a fast-paced, global team.

Responsibilities include incident management, coordination with providers, and continuous improvement of operational procedures. Candidates should have strong networking experience and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of network engineering and deployments for large-scale corporate networks.
  • 3+ years of physical layer technologies experience.
  • 3+ years of network administration experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Information Security or other related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Core Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to office infrastructure (AV, Print & Network) within defined target times, coordinating with cross-functional partners to deliver solutions.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with ISPs, telecom carriers, and stakeholders to troubleshoot circuit issues and network outages.
  • Communication & Reporting: Provide verbal and written summaries of events and incidents to leadership.
  • Participate in Major incident bridges and drive resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing: Document lessons learned and train new team members on network troubleshooting procedures and incident workflows.
  • Operational Requirements: Work in a 24/7/365 follow-the-sun model with on-call support.
