About the Role

As the Administrative Assistant / Accounts Payable, you will play a key role in supporting both our administrative and financial operations. You’ll be responsible for managing vendor invoicing and payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing general administrative support to the finance team. Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system
  • Set up and maintain accurate vendor records
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies
  • Prepare and process timely payments to vendors
  • Maintain financial files and records
  • Answer and route incoming calls
  • Prepare bank deposits and manage related documentation
  • Submit co-op advertising claims
  • Assist with spreadsheets, reports, and month-end tasks
Requirements

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma (required); post-secondary education in Accounting or Business is an asset
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative or accounting support role (AP experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving
Working Conditions
  • Standard office environment in Lethbridge, AB
  • Primarily computer-based work with occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs)
  • Regular working hours with occasional flexibility to meet deadlines
  • Minimal travel
