Job summary

Olive Garden in Canada is seeking a motivated Line Cook to help deliver quality meals with attention to presentation and safety. You will ensure prep is complete and dishes are plated to specifications, while maintaining a clean, well-organized kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook or prep cook is preferred.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Excellent communication, social and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage ingredients to ensure service readiness.
• Maintain high quality and presentation of dishes.
• Plate food to specifications for a great dining experience.
• Perform opening and closing duties as directed.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and sanitized at all times.
• Complete required Food Safety logs and adhere to policies.

What you will do in this role:

• Complete line check pars to ensure that enough product is prepared and kept ready for service
• Ensure the quality of food is outstanding each and every time
• Plate food to specifications to create a great dining experience
• Perform opening & closing procedures as instructed
• Keep your work area, utensils & product equipment in a clean, sanitized state at all times
• Complete cleaning jobs outlined by management teams
• Adhere to all Food Safety policies and procedures
• Complete Food Safety logs, as required
