Job summary

Sanjel Energy Services Inc is seeking a Class 1 Driver - Cementing to join our Canadian operations. The role involves driving trucks and operating hydraulic pumping systems to place cement and treat wells, with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to our core principles of teamwork, integrity, service and excellence.

Qualifications

• Valid Unrestricted Class 1 Driver's license and clean Driver's Abstract required.
• Local candidates preferred; housing or relocation considered.
• Oilfield cementing/pressure pumping experience an asset.
• Off-road oilfield driving experience prioritized; WCSB experience advantageous.
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor conditions; physically fit.
• SAFETY conscious attitude and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive well servicing equipment to and from well sites.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and complete required paperwork.
• Read gauges and monitor pressure, density, rate; adjust pumping accordingly.
• Operate pumping systems to place cement, chemicals, sand or gases.
• Assist with rigging-in and other site tasks as required.

The Opportunity:

The Class 1 Driver - Cementing, will report directly to the Manager - District Service Line and are accountable for driving trucks and operating specialized hydraulic pumping systems to place cement in wells or to treat wells with chemicals, sand mixtures or gases to stimulate production. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

This role has potential to offer a long-term career path, with access to ongoing training and career advancement. Ideally, the Class 1 Driver will develop into a Cementing Operator within the company.

• Class 1 Driver - Build on your Class 1 experience and develop Oilfield driving skills
• Operator - Advance into operating specialized pressure pumping equipment, and apply your learned expertise
• Supervisor - Lead crews and be responsible for both service and operational excellence

General Responsibilities:

• A strong focus on Safety is essential as well as adherence to our guiding principles of teamwork, integrity, service and excellence
• Complete and submit all required paperwork (i.e. expense account, bonus and fuel sheets, logbooks, pre/post-trip inspections, loading tickets)
• Complete a proper pre-trip inspection prior to leaving on any journey
• Drive well servicing equipment to and from well sites
• Assist with rigging-in and other functions at the job site as required
• Read gauges to monitor pressure, density, rate and/or concentration and adjust pumping procedure as required
• Ensure units are clean and functioning
• Operate pumping systems to pump chemicals, gases, sand, cement and/or other materials
• Assemble pumping equipment & attach pumps and hoses to wellheads, mix chemicals and cement

Qualifications:

• Valid Unrestricted Class 1 Driver's license and clean Driver's Abstract are required
• Local candidates are preferred. Individuals with housing available, or those open to relocation would be strongly considered
• Operational training and experience in oilfield cementing or pressure pumping services considered a significant asset
• Individuals who possess oilfield off-road driving experience and skills are prioritized, direct WCSB experience an advantage
• Capable of working in extreme working conditions (outdoors, weather, terrain)
• Physically fit and able to complete demanding tasks for extended periods of time
• Team focused and a SAFETY conscious attitude
• Certificates in First Aid, H2S Alive, Oilfield Driver Awareness (ODA), and Heavy Haulers are considered an asset
• Applicants with Agriculture, or Military / Canadian Armed Forces experience are strongly encouraged to apply
