Overview

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist for the Strategic Studies & Market Analysis Division within the Crude Oil Sales & Marketing Department (COSMD). This division provides market analysis, intelligence, data analytics, strategic studies, and manages projects within the crude oil sales and marketing sector.

Your main responsibilities include overseeing marketing activities, driving research initiatives, and supporting strategic marketing efforts to enhance company performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in crude oil placement strategy and market analysis.
  • Participate in developing strategies addressing short- and long-term market needs and challenges.
  • Mentor and train team members on crude oil market concepts.
  • Conduct complex studies impacting current and future operations.
  • Monitor market trends to forecast viability and evolution.
  • Coordinate work on special studies and advise senior management.
  • Offer guidance on planning and analysis to senior personnel and executives.
  • Collaborate on low carbon initiatives, including market analysis and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support commercialization of low carbon crude oil and products, focusing on offsetting and market mechanisms.
  • Present analyses, conclusions, and recommendations on petroleum market issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Economics or Energy) preferred.
  • Over 12 years of experience in oil and gas sustainability, ESG, and the carbon market industry.
  • Knowledge of carbon markets, environmental regulations, and global climate policies.
  • Extensive understanding of crude oil market dynamics, pricing, and reporting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with refinery operations, petrochemicals, linear programming, and financial modeling is advantageous.
  • Understanding of refining economics is preferred.
