Job summary

Infracon Construction's North Division in Dawson Creek, BC, is seeking hardworking Oil & Gas Labourers to join the team and support project activities. Local candidates are preferred, with relocation required for those outside the service area.

Join a safety‑minded team in an outdoors, fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities include general site duties, groundwork, fencing, material handling, and assisting with trenching and maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license preferred.
• Must have or be willing to obtain H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO.
• Previous labouring or construction experience is an asset but not required.
• Willingness to work in camp settings when required.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions or physically demanding environments.

• General labouring duties to support oil and gas site activities.
• Site preparation, maintenance, and clean-up to keep work areas safe.
• Fencing installation (barbed wire, chain link, wildlife protection).

Location: Applicants must currently live in Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, Chetwynd, or Tumbler Ridge, BC, or be willing to relocate. Relocation is required for candidates outside the service area. This is a home-daily position and is not a camp or FIFO role.

Scope of Work:

• General labouring duties to support oil and gas site activities.
• Site preparation, maintenance, and clean-up to keep work areas safe and organized.
• Fencing installation (barbed wire, chain link, wildlife protection, etc.).
• Assisting with lease builds, maintenance, and clean‑ups.
• Supporting equipment operators by spotting and providing assistance as needed.
• Handling materials and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Digging and trenching for underground utility installations.
• Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment.
• Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Mixing and pouring concrete for construction tasks when required.
• Assisting in minor repairs and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Ensuring worksite cleanliness and organization to prevent hazards.
• Providing traffic control assistance when required.
• Handling and managing hazardous materials safely and in accordance with regulations.
• Assisting with pipe laying and installation as needed.
• Performing routine equipment checks and basic maintenance on tools and machinery.
• Working in confined spaces when required, following all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work efficiently and safely in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• Assist with general site duties, including lifting, shoveling, and material handling.
• Follow directions from supervisors and equipment operators.
• Identify and report potential hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure all tasks are completed with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Adapt to changing work conditions and project needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
• Demonstrate initiative by anticipating needs and proactively addressing worksite challenges.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings to ensure compliance with all procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver's license preferred.
• Valid or willingness to obtain the following oilfield safety tickets: H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO.
• Previous labouring or construction experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Must be willing to work in camp settings when required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Work is outdoors, and conditions may include extreme temperatures and uneven ground. Position requires employee to frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, reach and kneel.
