Medallion Energy Services Inc. seeks a journeyman electrician to support electrical installations and maintenance on oil and gas projects in Alberta. You will install, test, and commission systems, read schematics, and work safely with a team in demanding environments.

The role emphasizes high-quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to coordinate with operators, millwrights, and engineers on site, including occasional overtime and shift work.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician certificate is required.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) is preferred.
• Valid driver's licence and eligibility to work in Canada.
• Ability to work in a team or independently as needed.
• Physically able to lift, climb ladders, and work outdoors in site conditions.
• Available to work Monday to Friday with possible overtime.

Responsabilités

• Electrical installation: install cables, conduit, cable trays, lighting, grounding, panels, motors, and equipment.
• Maintenance and repairs: preventive maintenance and repairs of motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and heat tracing.
• Troubleshooting: read drawings, use test equipment, identify faults and restore service.
• Hazardous-area work: operate equipment in areas with flammable gases or vapours.
• Safety: follow isolation/lockout, permits, gas-testing, and electrical safety practices.
• Testing and commissioning: inspect, test installations, verify operation, and support startups.
• Drawings and documentation: interpret schematics, record work, and markup drawings.
• Team coordination: work with operators, instrumentation techs, millwrights, engineers, and contractors.
• Apprentice supervision: guide apprentices and check workmanship.
• Operational support: respond to breakdowns and support planned shutdowns.
