How you’ll make a difference:

We are looking for flexible candidates to balance answering, connecting and directing all calls coming into the switchboard in a timely and professional manner while accurately and efficiently entering service transactions into the computerized systems. The incumbents will also be responsible for arranging hotel accommodations for clients that are attending Millard Health for treatment services ensuring that all dates and times are accurate. Other office duties would include processing payments for goods and services purchased, coverage for Shipping/Receiving area, and other duties as required.

Your Office Support Clerk responsibilities:

  • Assess the customers concerns, determine and perform the appropriate action required for all incoming calls from internal and external clients.
  • Enters service transactions into the system verifying program information, status and contract rate changes.
  • Hotel booking for clients attending Millard Health treatment programs.
  • Respond to queries regarding client booking into the hotels.
  • File closures as requested.
  • Address any queries regarding the status of worker charges processed and provides detailed explanations.
  • Process payments for goods and services.
  • Provides back-up and support to all other functions in the Business Office.

Your experience and skills:

  • High school diploma supplemented with post-secondary education in secretarial training and office administration.
  • Experience in answering multiple calls at once.
  • Excellent keyboarding and computer skills with experience in MS Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of FOIP, sound judgment with high regard for confidential information. Releasing information correctly and collecting appropriate information is critical to ensure that a breach of privacy does not occur.
  • Able to work 7.25-hour shifts between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the occasional shift change Monday to Friday.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Salary: $45,642.25

This position is temporary for a period of up to one year with the possibility of extension or permanency. Final candidates for this position are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment. Successful candidate must reside in Alberta. This position requires you to work in-person in our Edmonton Millard Health office.
