Reports To: Resort Manager or Front Desk Supervisor

Employment Type: Seasonal / Full-Time / Part-Time

Job Summary:

The Office/Store Attendant at Oak Island Resort plays a key role in ensuring a welcoming and seamless guest experience. This hybrid role combines front office duties with responsibilities in the resort's retail store. You will assist guests with check-in/check-out procedures, answer inquiries, and manage retail transactions, all while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
Front Office Duties:
  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and reservation changes using property management software
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and provide information about resort amenities, local attractions, and activities
  • Maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks as needed
  • Handle guest concerns and escalate issues appropriately to management
Retail Store Duties:
  • Operate the point-of-sale system to process purchases
  • Restock shelves, maintain store cleanliness, and organize displays
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
  • Upsell resort merchandise and promote on-site experiences
  • Maintain product knowledge to answer guest inquiries effectively
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with computers and basic POS systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced resort environment
  • Standing for extended periods
  • May involve lifting and carrying retail stock or supplies (up to 25 lbs)
