JOB LOCATION

This is an ON-SITE position located in Staples, Ontario

COMPENSATION

$32.00 / hour, Non-Exempt

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Office Manager ensures the office operates smoothly and efficiently. The Office Manager performs administrative duties and responsibilities that include English-Spanish translations (both verbal and written), event coordination, data entry and analysis, visitor reception and direction, and assigning and monitoring clerical tasks. May handle special assignments and projects and be able to handle confidential information. Works under general supervision. Incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support the Sr. Manager of People Ops and other senior managers with administrative needs as required. Inputting data and confidential information in HRIS system.
  • Provide verbal and written Spanish translation. Schedule and assist Spanish-speaking employees at Service Canada/Ontario and Dr. appointments.
  • Maintain office efficiency by ensuring office functions run smoothly. Coordinate and plan for office services, such as supplies (kitchen and office), equipment, and maintenance.
  • Assist Sr. Manager of People Ops with company events. Participate in employee engagement activities.
  • Manage onboarding materials, gift/swag inventory, and packing and shipping welcome kits to remote new hires.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team in the setup/presentation of the boardroom for customer luncheons and product tasting.
  • Support the direction of Food Safety and manage uniforms program and lab coats for Sensei employees by ensuring appropriate quantity and sizing.
  • Other assigned duties as assigned.

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

  • You have a minimum of two (2) years’ related experience.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking with all levels of the company and customers.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Microsoft software proficiency.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
