Job description

Evolving Web is seeking a strategic, people-centered professional to serve as our Manager of Employee Experience & Community. This role combines office administration, event leadership, internal culture building, marketing strategy, and community engagement.

Based in Montreal, you will shape our external presence in the open source ecosystem—particularly through EvolveDigital (formerly EvolveDrupal)—while fostering a cohesive internal employee experience. You will work across teams and with leadership to support the growth of our Montreal office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement office administrative procedures and contribute to strategic initiatives across departments such as culture, recruiting, partnerships, and operations.
  • Maintain internal systems, including access management, software tools, equipment, and subscriptions, delegating tasks as needed.
  • Act as an office cultural ambassador, fostering belonging, alignment, and professionalism internally and externally.
  • Assist with office budget preparation and oversee administrative operations.
  • Lead strategy, budgeting, and execution of EvolveDigital and related events, including a multi-city summit series connecting open source technologists and digital leaders.
  • Manage participation in major industry events like DrupalCon, Drupal GovCon, and DigitalCollegium—planning budgets and logistics.
  • Coordinate team travel, speaking engagements, sponsorships, and conference presence, ensuring brand consistency and operational excellence.
  • Represent Evolving Web at events, engaging with attendees and building relationships for potential collaborations.
  • Lead and mentor the office marketing and content team, ensuring strategic alignment and brand consistency.
  • Collaborate on outreach campaigns for events, hiring, partnerships, and thought leadership.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, emphasizing engagement and inclusion.
  • Support HR operations, internal communications, and employee systems.
  • Oversee the Montreal office to ensure it is organized, welcoming, and functional.
  • Review and plan administrative procedures, office equipment, and supplies.

Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years in roles combining office administration, event coordination, community engagement, operations, or marketing leadership.
  • Experience in project coordination and management, preferably in web design or user experience sectors.
  • Proven success in organizing company presence at large conferences, managing logistics, sponsorships, and booth strategies.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Comfortable working full-time in-office, with willingness to travel regularly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Fluent in English and French.

Annual Salary: CAD $102,000
