Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks an Office Manager to oversee behind-the-scenes operations in a 24/7 retirement residence. You will manage resident records, accounting functions, payroll, scheduling, and lead reception staff to ensure a first-rate resident experience.

The role requires strong administrative experience, proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with HR processes. Competitive compensation, onboarding, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience in an office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Experience with Workday, Kronos, and Yardi is advantageous.
  • HR knowledge (recruitment, onboarding, payroll) is considered an asset.
  • Must provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Handle resident records and ensure they are up to date.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll & benefits, and scheduling with accuracy.
  • Oversee receptionists, provide training, and cover the reception desk when needed.
  • Support 24/7 operation with flexible scheduling while delivering exceptional resident service.

Job Description

Are you a customer service professional with strong administrative & accounting skills? Do you enjoy a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines? Are you ready to take your experience to the next level? As our next Office Manager, you will be a pivotal member of our Retirement management team focused on handling all the behind-the-scenes activities that happen within the retirement residence. In this role, your primary focus will be engaging with residents, ensuring all their needs are met and working through any concerns they bring forth. You will also manage resident records, ensuring they are up to date. You will handle accounting functions for the residence including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, Payroll & Benefits and Scheduling, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. In addition, you will lead and engage team members dedicated to consistently delivering an exceptional living experience for our residents. This role also has a strong focus on ensuring all administrative processes are in compliance with internal and regulatory compliance standards. As this position involves managing within a 24/7 operation, you must maintain flexibility in your schedule. You will oversee the receptionists, providing training and guidance, and will personally manage the reception desk when necessary. Your role will encompass shaping the first impression of the new residents, both in person and over the phone, making your team’s contribution pivotal to the overall sales experience.

  • Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.

Salary: $64,000-$67,000 annually based on experience
