Job description

Stormont Partners is a merchant bank located in downtown Toronto, providing investment management and advisory services to the Canadian real estate industry.We provide traditional investment banking services, including advice on corporate strategy, public and private company mergers and acquisitions, asset brokerage, structured transaction advisory and project and corporate finance. Stormont also invests in various real estate strategies and co-investments with external funding partners.

The Role

At Stormont, we are a small but growing team of twelve young and energetic real estate professionals.The Officer Manager should have the ability, personality and aptitude to work well in this dynamic team environment. The role may be part-time (24 hours per week, flexible hours) at the outset, or full-time - details to be discussed through the application process.Remote work will not be an option for this position.

Responsibilities

The Office Manager role will be broad ranging in nature, with primary responsibility for the following administrative functions :

  • General day-to-day office management, including coordinating in-office meetings and team events, welcoming visitors, new employee onboarding, etc.
  • Maintaining an orderly office, including mail pickup, ordering office supplies, business cards
  • Executive assistant function to the senior management team, including calendar management, arranging and managing client meetings / lunches / dinners, arranging travel and conferences, etc.
  • Executing various other administrative duties, as required to support the senior management team, such as taking meeting minutes of shareholder and investor meetings, investor mail-outs, etc.
  • Liaising with office vendors and service providers to Stormont, including IT building management, office supply deliveries, printer management, etc.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience as an office manager or administrative assistant
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (principally, Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Professional and presentable, with strong organizational, interpersonal and client service skills.Fluent and proficient English is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, diligently, strong drive and initiative
  • Ability to work well in a growing, dynamic and professional team environment
  • Applicants must have existing Canadian residency and a valid work permit, where applicable
  • Competitive salary ($70,000 - $80,000 p.a.) and health and dental benefits package
