Job summary

BBA Consultants’ Labrador City office seeks an Office Director to lead operations, grow the local team and strengthen client relationships. You’ll work closely with the St.

John’s office director to guide strategic growth in Labrador West and expand BBA’s presence in mining, metals and emerging energy markets. You’ll champion environmental, water management and earth sciences capabilities while fostering partnerships with communities, Indigenous groups and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or a relevant program.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering firm.
• Experience and interest in business development.
• Knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering in mining industry.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary work teams.
• Excellent soft skills and collaborative management.
• Experience in organizational development.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of mining and metals market (asset).

Forover 15 years, BBA’s Labrador City office has delivered multidisciplinaryengineering services to the region’s mining industry, supported by experts fromacross Canada.

AsOffice Director, you’ll build on BBA’s long-standing relationships with clientswhile leading the continued growth of our presence in Labrador West. Workingclosely with the St. John’s office director, you’ll guide office operations,develop the local team and drive business development across the region.

Leveragingyour leadership, network and industry knowledge, you’ll help expand BBA’sfootprint in both the mining and metals sectors and emerging renewable energymarkets, supported by significant investment in the region. You’ll alsochampion the diversification of our services by growing environmental, watermanagement and earth sciences capabilities while strengthening relationshipswith local communities, Indigenous partners and regional stakeholders.

Thisis an opportunity to lead a talented, multidisciplinary team, contribute to the region’s sustainable development and play a key role in shaping BBA’s futuregrowth in Newfoundland and Labrador.

You’llreport to the Vice-President, Québec and Atlantic Operations, and oversee dailyoffice operations while contributing to the firm’s strategic objectives and long-term success.

Summary of certifications and jobrequirements

• University degree in engineering or diploma in a relevant program of study
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, notably within a consulting engineering firm
• Experience and interest in business development
• In-depth knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering within the mining industry
• Experience in engaging and managing multidisciplinary work teams
• Excellent soft skills and collaborative management skills
• Experience in organizational development
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
