Job Description

This position is instrumental in coordinating and executing effective administrative services to the Mine Operations department. The position is critical to the organization of the department in the areas of scheduling, reporting and information sharing. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot problems. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe work practices and strives for zero harm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Track and report Mine Production and maintain various databases
  • Assist with basic payroll activities, time sheets and vacation requests
  • Assist with completion of Expense Reports
  • Attend meetings and preparing meeting minutes
  • Organize and maintain filing systems
  • Maintain confidentiality with respect to employee and business information
  • Coordinating travel and related accommodation arrangements
  • Keeping communications board up to date
  • Create purchase requisitions and work requests as required

Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, the role is based within the Mine Operations team and is in Band GBF8. This is a site based position with a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation.

Qualifications
  • 3 years of relevant Administrative experience preferably in a mining environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of SAP an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively independently or in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to support and promote Health & Safety practices.
