Job description

Job Duties:

  1. Inspect tires on-site to determine whether they can be repaired safely.
  2. Complete preventative and corrective repairs, including skiving, patching, filling, and final inspection.
  3. Set-up, take-down, and monitor the tire vulcanizing machine, ensuring the correct cure times are performed.
  4. Drive Fountain Tire mobile tire repair truck to and from the mine sites.
  5. Ensure all inventory is stocked and that all tooling is in safe working order.
  6. Participate in all safety initiatives to guarantee safety at Fountain Tire, adhering to jurisdiction’s Mines Act and client safety procedures and regulations.
  7. Experience in the repair and vulcanization process of OTR tires.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Employment contingent on successful pre-access drug test.
  2. Punctual.
  3. Willing to work in extreme weather conditions.
  4. Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers; this includes good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Willing to work and live in camps as required until jobs are complete.
  6. Able to lift 50 lbs.
  7. Willing to travel to remote locations with minimal notice and work weekends, evenings, on-call shift work, and holidays.
  8. Ability to maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract from the province of residence.
  9. Ability to use computerized equipment.

Extended Medical and Dental plus RRSP matching - Flights and travel costs are provided to sites as required at no cost. Living out allowance where applicable.
