Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team at Queen City Distillers in Saskatchewan. You will greet customers, provide product recommendations across liquor, wine and beer selections, restock and maintain store presentation, and assist with inventory checks.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, can stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and is eligible to sell alcohol.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Retail liquor store experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be of legal age to sell alcohol.
  • Serve It Right Saskatchewan license required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance and recommendations on liquor, wine, and beer products.
  • Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
  • Receive and check inventory deliveries for accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
  • Follow all safety procedures and store guidelines.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Queen City Distillers is a proud, Saskatchewan-made brand committed to crafting premium spirits and delivering memorable guest experiences through its products, tastings, events, and venue offerings including: a retail liquor store, sports bar, premium wine and spirits bar, elevated restaurant, speakeasy and a 1,500-person live music venue. As the brand grows, there is a strong opportunity to build meaningful awareness and engagement through consistent, high-quality marketing execution and content creation.

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance and recommendations on a wide range of liquor, wine, and beer products
  • Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including sweeping, dusting, and tidying shelves
  • Receive and check inventory deliveries for accuracy and report discrepancies
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation
  • Follow all safety procedures and store operational guidelines
What We Look For
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • At least 1 year of experience in retail, liquor store setting is preferred but not a requirement
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be of legal age to sell alcohol (as per local/state regulations)
  • Valid Serve It Right Saskatchewan license
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
