Our client is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join their team.

Position / Job Requirements
  • Experienced Dental Assistant (prefer Level II)
Location

Yonge / St. Clair

Hours
  • Mon to Thurs (arrive 7 / 7 : 15-5 / 5 : 30)
  • Fri 7-2 / 3 / 4 (8 a year but none in summer)
Compensation
  • 28-30 depending on experience
Job Overview
  • Assisting dentist during dental procedures, including handing instruments and materials
  • Sterilizing instruments
  • Preparing treatment rooms following prescribed procedures and protocols
  • Welcoming and seating patients to prepare them for treatment
  • Pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts
  • Assisting with crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, Invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings, extractions, and mouthguards
  • Taking and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
  • Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
  • Taking preliminary impressions for study models
  • Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
  • Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene, and plaque control
  • Managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and contact information
  • Ensuring dental equipment operates properly through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inventory management
  • Monitoring dental supplies inventory and placing orders as needed
  • Making patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment
