Dental office in Toronto at Bay / Bloor is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant.

POSITION / JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Experienced Dental Assistant
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience
• Good command of the English language

HOURS :

• Monday to Thursday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

COMPENSATION :

• $28-$30 per hour, depending on experience and performance

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assisting the dentist during dental procedures, including handing instruments and materials
• Assisting with crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, Invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings, and extractions
• Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
• Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Questioning patients about medical history and recording information for the dentist's reference
• Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene, and plaque control programs
• Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
