The People & Culture Department at Keyano College is in search for an Organizational Development (OD) Advisor. The OD Advisor is responsible to build relationships and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across the College to guide high quality decision making and timely delivery of initiatives. Through education and coaching this role will work with Executive and College leadership to identify, prioritize, and plan high value, high benefit initiatives.
Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the President & CEO, you will be responsible for the following:
Creating a Performance Management process aligned with the College’s strategic objectives and values.
Create and maintain a Balanced Scorecard for the College
Assist with the creation of an Onboarding program and maintain content current and relevant.
Introduce a Coaching program for the leadership team
Establishing a Leadership Training & Development program
Initiate & manage employee engagement activities
Facilitate strategic planning process, workforce planning and change management activities
Explore funding opportunities for new projects.
Provide change management advice and support with new initiatives or re-organizations with the involvement of other P&C and College Leaders
Competencies Required for the Role
Consulting and Coaching - Works directly with leaders to identify needs, and provide advice, guidance, and coaching that support strategic and operational objectives. Understands the client managers’ core concerns and helps them identify specific, measurable goals, steps and specific actions to be taken. Gives supportive and challenging feedback.
Dispute Resolution/Conflict Management – Works with managers to resolve conflicts, confrontations, and disagreements in a positive and constructive manner.
Organizational Design and Workforce Planning - Facilitates the process of creating effective organization structures by assisting leaders in clarifying decision authority, information flow, and the roles of employees. Understands leadership models and competency frameworks.
Organization Development – Understands and can apply key OD skills including diagnosis, problem solving, conflict management, understanding groups and teams, process redesign, process observation, and large systems change.
Change Management – Plans and implement change management practices and strategies to prepare individuals and the organization to successfully adopt change to drive organizational success and outcomes.
Project Management – Understands project management best practices and can guide and coach project teams to successful project deliveries.
Continuous Improvement – Can identify opportunities and problem area in increase revenue and decrease productivity loss.
Learning and Development – Demonstrated expertise in the delivery of learning and development programs, processes, and tools; Experience with technology enabled learning and adult learning concepts.
Solution orientation – Makes timely decisions and advances solutions that are in the best interest of the College and our students.
Accountability – Fosters and demonstrates a culture of accountability and ownership.
Relationship intelligence – Demonstrates emotional maturity and operates respectfully in all situations and dynamics.
Employee Engagement – Empowers others to be engaged, motivated and resilient through change.
Effective Communication – Uses personal interaction, transparency, and language to effectively build trust and commitment.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in change management, learning and development, organizational development, and data-driven decision-making.
Strong background in designing and delivering training programs, implementing leadership and employee engagement strategies, and applying project management principles (PMP, PID, or Prosci certification is an asset)
Proven ability to analyze organizational data, develop dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge acceptable by the College may also be considered.
