Role Overview

As the Ocean Freight Team Leader for Bulk at DHL Global Forwarding, you will be responsible for

managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Ocean Freight Bulk team. Your primary focus

will be to ensure the efficient and compliant processing of ocean bulk shipments while delivering

exceptional customer service. You will lead a team of logistics professionals, collaborate with various

stakeholders, and drive operational excellence in ocean freight bulks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Ocean Freight Bulk team, providing direction,
  • training, and support to achieve operational goals and enhance service delivery.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
  • related to ocean freight bulks, including customs regulations and safety standards.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the planning and execution of ocean freight bulk
  • shipments, ensuring timely and accurate departures and arrivals.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with the Head of OFR Bulk to develop and implement
  • strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular
  • reports on team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary
  • changes.
  • Team Development: Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration,
  • accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external
  • stakeholders regarding ocean freight bulk operations.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any operational issues or customer inquiries in a timely
  • and professional manner.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines,
  • freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure seamless bulk
  • operations.
  • Communication: Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, share best
  • practices, and promote a culture of safety and compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a
