Interior Health’s Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Team, located in Kelowna, B.C., has an immediate permanent, full-time Occupational Therapist opening. The work days are rotating from 09:00 to 17:30 hours.
This position is with the Youth Intensive Case Management (ICM) Team, an interdisciplinary group supporting youth aged 12 to 24 with significant substance use and mental health concerns, along with functional challenges. The team provides outreach and case management services based at the Kelowna Foundry, offering low barrier, community-based support to meet youth where they are without judgment. The team works to address immediate needs and connect youth with resources to improve health and wellness goals.
The Occupational Therapist (OT) will support the Interior Health team and assist with some activities at Kelowna’s Foundry. Responsibilities include formal and functional occupational assessments, early intervention, activation, and case management with an OT perspective. The work schedule involves a rotational basis, including four Saturdays in ten, with local travel within the area. Access to a personal vehicle and a valid Driver’s License are required.
