Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university required.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario is necessary.
  • Proven computer skills, including email and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough virtual assessments and identify client needs.
  • Develop time-specific, measurable goals in collaboration with clients.
  • Delegate treatment plans and supervise care delivery.

We are currently looking for someone to join our Rehabilitation Team in the role of Occupational therapist. We are actively expanding our Virtual Care Model and are looking for professionals who want to be a part of this exciting growth.This role can be located anywhere in Ontario and provides oversight to the therapy assistants working directly with patients in the home.

This is a Part-Time position working a hybrid model.

What The Role Involves

Our Occupational Therapists provide a critical role in providing high quality patient care!

  • Use of your professional assessment skills to perform a thorough VIRTUAL assessment of each client and identify the client's needs by utilizing information from the client, caregiver(s), the referral and other sources
  • Function as a member of a therapy team who is accountable for the therapy care it provides
  • Develop appropriate time-specific, measurable goals and outcomes in collaboration with the client and/or caregiver(s)
  • Delegation of treatment plan and supervision of care delivery by Physiotherapist Assistants
  • Promotes independence of the client in the home and in the community
  • Committed to quality and accuracy of care
  • Works independently and as an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team, may be required to work with an OTA/PTA as needed
  • Provides active guidance for workplace Health and Safety
  • Performs other duties as required
What You Bring
  • Master’s Degree (or equivalent)degree in Occupational therapy from a recognized university
  • Registration with the College of Occupational therapists of Ontario
  • ADP Authorized is an asset
  • Proven computer skills, including e-mail, word processor, work scheduling systems (self-scheduling), Virtual Care Service Delivery Platforms (Video)
  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to direct effective treatment programs
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy of care
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • French language skills are an asset
  • Clear Background and Vulnerable Sector Check
