Job summary

Lifemark is seeking an Occupational Therapist for their Community Step Up Program in Mississauga. The role includes managing a caseload, performing clinical evaluations, and providing education to clients and their families. Qualified candidates will possess a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Provincial Association. Bilingual skills and experience with seniors are preferred.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team for a Community Step Up Program!

Location: Mississauga
Schedule: 2 days per week Start date:July-August 2025 Status: Independent Contractor


In this role you will:

  • The OT will be assigned a caseload based on the referrals received by other Healthcare professionals from Hospitals, Home and Community, Primary Care, and other Health Service providers
  • Our OTs play a critical role in helping our Clients and Loved Ones maximize their functional abilities, provide strategies around activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living memory and cognitive functioning and perception
  • Out OTs provide education around home environment and modification, promoting independence and improved quality of life for both the Client and their Loved Ones
  • Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments
  • Identification of appropriate equipment needs with initiation of recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the Provincial Association of Occupational Therapists
  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum 2 years experience with seniors is preferred
  • Experience with mental health and addictions is a strong asset
  • Bilingual is an asset
