About the Opportunity
The Occupational Therapist works under the supervision of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services. The OT collaborates with clients, caregivers, and families to facilitate, restore, and/or maintain optimal levels of function in self-care, productivity, and leisure. Responsibilities include consultation, assessment, treatment, evaluation, and follow-up while working within the hospital, clients' homes, and/or the community. The OT establishes individualized treatment plans, manages a busy caseload, and uses clinical judgment to prioritize daily issues. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required. The OT also provides education and support to clients, families, and caregivers and contributes to the clinical education of OT students and supervision of OT Assistants.
