Job description

We have a relief part-time Occupational Therapist opening in the Primary Care Network team in Kelowna, B.C. This position is expected to run until September 2026, or the return of the current incumbent. This position works Monday to Friday from 08:00-16:00.

About The Position

The occupational therapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community occupational therapy services. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription, and education of residents/clients/patients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and achieve optimal health outcomes. The occupational therapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department, participates in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education, and provides work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.
