Job description

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) on our team, you will be responsible for developing programs that enable individuals to participate to their fullest in daily activities. Your client base will include children (ages 2-18) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Salary: $72,500 - $102,000 per year

Schedule: Flexible hours between Monday and Friday (9 am or 1 pm)

Take an inside look at your daily responsibilities:

  1. Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team
  2. Complete assessments using standardized tests, criterion-referenced or curriculum-referenced tools, or checklists
  3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  4. Develop reports as required
  5. Consult with Behavior Analysts supervising Applied Behavior Analysis programs for children with ASD and other needs
  6. Collaborate with families and community professionals
  7. Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices
  8. Collect data and make evidence-based treatment decisions
  9. Supervise students pursuing Occupational Therapy education
  10. Contribute to clinical policies and procedures within Monarch House

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with ASD
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.)
  • Knowledge of current research and literature in the field
  • Membership with college (COTO) and association (OSOT or CAOT)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Flexibility in scheduling clients
