Job summary

FunctionAbility in Ontario is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess and treat individuals with neurological, orthopedic and mental health injuries. You will help clients set and achieve meaningful goals at home and in community settings, and develop individualized plans based on clinical reasoning.

You will have a full-time schedule with flexible hours, remote documentation options, mentorship, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Occupational Therapy and eligible for COTO licensure or P license.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat individuals with neurological, orthopedic disorders and mental health injuries.
• Help clients set and achieve meaningful home and community goals.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis.
• Collaborate with community partners and rehab professionals to support independence.

What is a day in the life of an FA Occupational Therapist?

• You will assess and treat individuals experiencing various neurological, orthopedic disorders, and mental health injuries;
• You will assist clients with establishing and meeting meaningful goals in their homes and in community settings such as malls, coffee shops, libraries, and more;
• You will create and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning;
• You will liaise with a variety of community partners and rehab professionals to facilitate client goals and independence.

Qualifications:

• You have a University Degree in Occupational Therapy;
• You are a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Occupational Therapists (COTO) or possess the ability to obtain a P license;
• You have a valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle;
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $45.00-$70.00 per hour
