Requirements:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapy State license
- CPR and BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross (with AED).
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical and cognitive abilities and their surroundings to identify limitations and set goals.
- Create customized treatment plans collaboratively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Apply diverse therapeutic methods to improve patients' daily life skills and independence.
- Provide guidance on adaptive tools and assistive devices.
- Instruct and practice daily living activities to enhance patient skills.
- Educate patients and families on independence and condition management strategies.
- Continuously assess and document patient progress, adapting plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team for comprehensive care.
- Maintain precise patient records, including evaluations and progress notes.
- Aid patients in returning to their communities and workplaces smoothly.
- Keep current with occupational therapy advancements and engage in professional development.
