Responsibilities (in-person or virtual delivery)

  • Provide OT interventions, including ADL/IADL strategies, equipment recommendations, and home modifications
  • Use a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to care and services
  • Support a restorative approach to health, offering interventions, health coaching, and self-management support
  • Utilize our digital platforms for care delivery, collaboration, documentation, and intervention

What you will need to be successful:

  • You are a registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Ability to travel from home to home within the community- a valid driver’s license, vehicle and car insurance are required.
  • You embrace person- and family-centered care with passion and empathy.
  • You exercise good judgment and critical thinking in client care decisions.
  • You are known for your excellent communication skills, you thrive in both team settings and working independently.
  • You value the role of a therapist in enabling clients to remain at home when it aligns with their personal goals.
  • A recent clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
  • Proof of recent negative TB test and Professional Liability Insurance and Commercial Liability Insurance
  • Ability to communicate in French or other languages is considered an asset
